This Gallery Walk & Presentation Feedback Form/Handout is something I use anytime students participate in a gallery walk activity and I want them to complete a peer review/engage meaningfully with the work of their peers. I value gallery walks in the classroom because they provide a great opportunity for students to celebrate, admire, and learn from the work of their peers. This Gallery Walk and Presentation Peer Review Feedback Form can be completed with any grade level and works for all subject areas. This is especially used in (but not limited to) English, History, and Science classrooms.
I have students complete a gallery walk after they finish both minor and major visual projects. Since students move freely around the classroom during a gallery-walk, while evaluating a project created by their peers, it can sometimes be a little chaotic! To bring in a bit more structure and learning, while also keeping the socializing to a minimum, I have them complete this Gallery Walk and Presentation Feedback Form. Students are asked to review 5 different projects, sharing what they found interesting, what they learned, and more. After, I have a whole class discussion where students share their notes from this feedback form with the class. Students love the whole class discussion portion because students will share what they enjoyed about other students’ projects and they value hearing from their peers. This is a great community-building activity for your classroom!
Aside from gallery walks, this is also a great activity for students to complete during class presentations. I love that this activity holds students accountable to share what they learn from their peers’ presentations.
This was made on a Google Doc. and can be completed as a printout or digitally. This resource is editable to fit your classroom needs.
